Mother-in-Law in Twisha Sharma Case Rejects Allegations, Questions Fairness of Police Investigation
Giribala Singh, the mother-in-law in the Twisha Sharma case, denied allegations made by the victim’s family and defended her actions as normal condolence communication. She accused the Bhopal police of bias, rejected claims of bail violations, questioned the interpretation of evidence, and supported a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry.
Speaking on the controversy surrounding the calls, Giribala Singh said such communication is a normal part of responding to a family tragedy and alleged that these actions are being deliberately portrayed as suspicious. She maintained that there was no intention to interfere with the investigation or manipulate witnesses in any manner.
Giribala Singh also accused the Bhopal police of acting with bias and claimed that she is not receiving fair treatment during the investigation process. According to her, she has fully cooperated with investigators at every stage and has not violated any bail conditions imposed upon her. She further rejected allegations that she ignored or failed to respond to police notices issued during the inquiry.
Addressing claims linked to surveillance material and evidence collected in the case, Giribala Singh asserted that CCTV footage and other related evidence are being misinterpreted or presented in a misleading manner. She argued that the narrative being built around the available material does not accurately reflect the facts.
On the issue of the missing accused, identified as her son-in-law Samarth, Giribala Singh distanced herself from responsibility for his actions. She stated that Samarth is an adult and accountable for his own conduct and decisions, making it inappropriate to hold her responsible for his whereabouts or actions.
Giribala Singh also expressed support for a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the matter. However, while backing the demand for a federal-level investigation, she questioned whether the Madhya Pradesh police were functioning under pressure from the victim’s family. She claimed that she feels targeted throughout the process and alleged that she is not receiving justice in Madhya Pradesh despite maintaining that she has done nothing wrong.
The latest statement from Giribala Singh has intensified the ongoing controversy surrounding the Twisha Sharma case, which continues to attract significant public and legal attention. With allegations, counter-allegations, and questions over the investigation process emerging from both sides, the case remains under close scrutiny as authorities continue their probe.
